Monsignor Lawrence K. Breslin Council 14995
Saint Charles Borromeo
Kettering Ohio 45429
The Monsignor Lawrence Breslin Council 14995 was chartered by the Supreme Council on April 1, 2010 and is named after Monsignor Lawrence Breslin. We currently have 187 members. We are very active in the activities that support the St. Charles Borromeo Parish and the St. Charles School.
We chose to name our council after Monsignor Breslin because of his affiliation with St. Charles over his life as a priest. Monsignor Breslin became an assistant at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Kettering in June, 1963, while on the faculty at Archbishop Alter High School also in Kettering. After many assignments in the Cincinnati archdiocese he became pastor of St Charles Borromeo Parish in Kettering on July 1, 1986, and retired from St. Charles Borromeo on July 1, 2004. He also served as Dean of the Dayton Deanery from January 1, 1991 until December 31, 1998. He died April 29, 2008.
We are a fraternal association of adult Catholic men whose key principles are those of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. Our mission as the Knights of Columbus is to support our priests, our parish, our school, our community and our country. We are unambiguously pro-life. We exhibit our support through our faith and our prayers, and by doing Christ’s work, particularly by promoting and actively participating in charitable works. We dedicate our time, our talent, and our resources to support our mission to the Greater Glory of God.
